KEARNEY — DP Management, LLC. is thrilled to announce the major redevelopment of Hilltop Mall which already has started.

The Hilltop Mall’s owners have announced on Tuesday (Tuesday) that they’ve collaborated closely Harbor Freight Tools to bring them on as an anchor tenant junior along the south side of the mall.

“We’re extremely excited,” said mall manager Scott Ehmke about the many modifications that are in progress.

For over thirty years Hilltop Mall has been part of Kearney and the surrounding communities, serving as one of Kearney’s major places of entertainment and commerce as per DP Management. The firm is a thriving retail development, management, and leasing company that has been able to develop properties within the Midwest markets by acquiring the addition of national companies.

Once it is Kearney project is finished, Hilltop Mall will have less than 3% of its space vacant and a plethora of top local, regional, and national stores that will offer a thriving shopping experience for years to come.

Harbor Freight is a national hardware and tool manufacturer based in California that is expected to attract a rapidly expanding population into Hilltop Mall. The redevelopment process needed the cooperation of existing tenants, officials from the government, as well as an adjacent shopping center owner, as per the press release from DP.

Harbor Freight will occupy the space previously occupied by Sporting Edge. Sporting Edge now is on the north-facing side of the mall, which is adjacent to J.C. Penney. Exact Eye Care is in an interim location, but will be located near the south-facing side of the mall once the shuffling is finished.

Ehmke also said that certain of the businesses can be accessed through their own websites

DP Management said it extends an especially sincere thanks for those who belong to the Jim and Gina Crosby family of Sporting Edge/Sports Village and the Jeff and Penny Kozal family of Exact Eye Care as well as family members of the Brett and Connie Hoeft families who run CR Toys as these businesses have all been extremely perseverant, active and trying to make this idea possible for the entire community.
